Scrap Metal Pickup in Denver — Free for Qualifying Loads
Scrap metal recycling is one of my favorite parts of this job — and I want to make it as easy as possible for Denver Metro homeowners and contractors to get rid of it responsibly. Text a photo to 720-675-7693 and I'll tell you the rate before we schedule anything. Commercial HVAC units, server racks, and clean copper or brass batches often qualify for free pickup. Everything else gets a flat, distance-based dispatch fee — starting at $35.
High-value loads pay for themselves in recycling value, which is why those qualify free. Standard loads still get hauled to a recycler rather than a landfill — the dispatch fee covers the time and fuel to make that happen. If you're a homeowner with a pile of old pipe, a contractor with leftover steel, or someone who just replaced their appliances — text me a photo at 720-675-7693 and we'll confirm your rate.
Serving Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Golden, Wheat Ridge, Broomfield, Northglenn, and surrounding communities across the Denver Metro.

Why Free for Some Loads? How Does This Work?
Scrap metal has real market value. Steel, aluminum, copper, and brass are bought by recycling facilities at per-pound rates. For high-value loads — commercial HVAC units, server racks, clean copper or brass batches — the recycling value covers the cost of my time and fuel, so pickup is free. For everything else, the load's recycling value doesn't fully cover the trip, so a flat dispatch fee applies based on distance. Either way, the metal gets recycled instead of dumped.
I'm genuinely passionate about metal recycling — it's the part of this business I'd do even if there weren't a financial incentive. Keeping good metal out of landfills matters.
Need the Metal Moved From Inside?
The dispatch fee (or free-for-qualifying-loads rate) covers curbside or easily accessible metal. If you need help moving heavy metal items from inside your home, garage, or basement to the curb — or if you'd like us to handle a full metal-heavy cleanout — inside pickup starts at an additional $100 for the labor. Text Adam and we'll confirm the total.

Frequently Asked Questions — Scrap Metal Pickup Denver
Is scrap metal pickup really free in Denver?
It can be. Commercial HVAC units, server racks, and clean copper or brass batches often qualify for free pickup — text a photo to 720-675-7693 and we'll confirm. Everything else gets a flat dispatch fee based on distance, typically $35-$95.
What types of scrap metal do you pick up?
Steel, aluminum, copper pipe and wire, brass fittings, cast iron, stainless steel, and most other metals. If you're not sure, text a photo to 720-675-7693 and we'll confirm.
Does the scrap metal need to be at the curb?
Curbside or accessible from the driveway is standard. If the metal is inside the home and requires labor to move, inside pickup starts at an additional $100 on top of the dispatch fee. Text us and we'll confirm the total.
Do you pick up old appliances as scrap metal?
Yes. Washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers at the curb are accepted — standard dispatch fee applies. Fridges and freezers are handled the same way, with proper Freon recovery included.
What cities do you serve for scrap metal pickup?
Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Golden, Wheat Ridge, Broomfield, Northglenn, and surrounding Denver Metro communities. Text Adam at 720-675-7693 to confirm your area.
Why isn't residential pickup always free?
Free pickup pays for itself on high-value loads like commercial HVAC units, server racks, or clean copper and brass batches — the recycling value covers the trip. A typical mixed residential pile of patio furniture, grills, and old appliances takes the same fuel and time to haul but usually nets only $5-$10 in raw scrap value, so we charge a flat $35 dispatch fee to cover it.
